Assistant Professor of Biology

LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Biology.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $52,000 - $55,000

Degree Required:

PhD in Biology or related field (specialization open) from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications:

Background in evolutionary biology with experience and ability to teach anatomy & physiology courses

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional background in biochemistry, genetics, cell/molecular biology, and/or human cadaver dissection will be considered.

Responsibilities:

The teaching load is 24 credits per year. Assignments will include introductory and advanced biology courses offered through multiple modalities (face-to-face, online, etc.) in support of General Education Core, the Biology program, and associated medical/health programs.

Additional duties include supervising student researchers, advising & mentoring, engaging in scholarship/professional development, and providing service to the division and the college.
