Job Description
The Postdoctoral Scholar investigates the novel functions of autism spectrum disorder-associated genes in the blood-brain barrier.

Responsibilities

Performs mouse brain surgery, in vivo Ca2+ imaging of the mouse brain.
Performs behavioral testing using mice.
Analyze data using statistical tools.
Brain clearing and light-sheet imaging.
Imaging using confocal microscopes.
Gene cloning, cell culture, proteomics.
RNA sequencing, flow cytometry.
Performs western blotting, immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry.
Writing manuscripts.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Skill in gene cloning, proteomics, confocal imaging, brain surgery, brain Ca2+ imaging in vivo, behavioral testing, brain histology, and computational/statistical analyses.
Ability to work independently, self-motivated and detail oriented.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
